In the late 1980's, our Senior Pastor felt a burden for the Northern part of Singapore - it was largely undeveloped at the time and considered "ulu" - a remote part of the country, primarily seen as just a transit point for those traveling to Malaysia (Johor Bahru) by land. There were a few churches in Woodlands, but none were part of the Assemblies of God. Rev. Chng's vision was to establish the Care Assembly of God in the North to provide respite for ministers traveling between Singapore and Malaysia.
1) Gillman Heights - We began as a Bible study and prayer meeting fellowship in the late 1980's.
2) No. 3 Woodlands Road
Under the Assemblies of God Home Missions Department, our Church name and logo were established, and we began Worship Services while registering with the Registrar of Societies and Charities. Simultaneously, we set up our CARE AND SHARE fund and The Mustard Seed Singing Group.
As a pioneering church, we also supported Bethel Church in their outreach work (Canaan Centre) in Johor Bahru, with Rev. Chng and several members commuting weekly between JB and Singapore on weekends.
The local Christian community also had a need: CARE assisted the struggling Contemporary Christian Church for a period by renting their premises at No. 3 Woodlands Road to hold our services and donating half of our weekly offering collection to them.

3) 2 Jasmine Road
Our journey continued as we moved to a new rented premises at Jasmine Road. By now, our Worship Services, Prayer Meeting, and Cell Group were established within our Christian community. Here, we focused on various outreach ministries, such as cooking competitions and skits, leading to a growth in our regular attendance as part of the Care Assembly of God.
4) Bukit Panjang (pictured right)
We rented the premises of ACTS Baptist Church and initiated our Children's Ministry, further enriching our church history.
5) Upper Bukit Timah
We rented the Centre of New Life premises for our Sunday Worship Service, continuing the legacy of our vibrant community.

6) Woodlands Street 31 Blk 302
Growth in Children's Ministry at Care Assembly of God
Began Children's Club and Students' Club to foster a strong Christian community
Children's counselling provided to support their spiritual journey
Guitar course for students to enhance their talents
Here, children began to be filled by the Holy Spirit, continuing the rich church history of nurturing faith.

7) Marsiling Apartments
The Care Assembly of God has developed a vibrant Children's Ministry through various initiatives, including a Computer Club, Cell Group leading, and Prayer Meetings for children. Additionally, there is a Worship Ministry for students, which encompasses instruments like drums, guitar, and keyboard.
During this time, CARE was registered with the Registrar of Societies and Charities as an independent Assemblies of God church, contributing to the rich church history of our Christian community.

The Care Assembly of God is currently under construction, reflecting the ongoing growth and development of our Christian community. This phase of building aligns with our rich church history, as we strive to create a welcoming space for all.
